The Cavern Club Live Lounge

Dave Monks from BBC Radio Merseyside/BBC Introducing, presents as part of the BBC’s Biggest Weekend Fringe, three of the best up and coming Liverpool acts!

Paris Youth Foundation

For Paris Youth Foundation, starting a band was a nought to sixty ascent they can still hardly believe. Uploading first song “If You Wanna” to Soundcloud, a fortnight later the band found themselves playing their first show at Reading Festival 2016 thanks to BBC Introducing.

The five-piece from Liverpool have since been on a whirlwind rise, having been Radio 1’s Introducing Artist of the Week, championed by BBC 6 Music, Radio X and NME, and have toured with the likes of The Magic Gang and Blaenavon.

Paris Youth Foundation, who draw influences from Catfish and The Bottlemen, Foals and The 1975, are now looking forward to releasing more music in May and playing numerous UK festivals over the summer.

Tori Cross

Tori Cross is a singer-songwriter from Birmingham, currently living in Liverpool.

Tori began writing songs at the age of 16 when she enrolled in a performing arts academy in Birmingham to study music. She moved to Liverpool in 2013 to study music further at University, and continued to perform in the local music scene, playing solo with her guitar at open mic nights, and backing singing for local artists XamVolo and Galactic Funk Militia at festivals and various gigs.

Recently picked to be a part of the top 20 artists for LIMF academy 2017, Tori has been working on her sound with producers TeeSoulful and XamVolo and is finishing her forthcoming EP. Her music is melodic and soulful and draws influences from artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Lianne La Havas.
