Hofner Guitars have come all the way from Germany to host a night of music and fun in the Cavern’s Live Lounge!
Thanks to The Beatles, The Cavern Club and Hofner will forever be associated. The Beatles used a handful of Hofner instruments, from George’s early use of the Hofner President, John and George’s Hofner Club 40 electrics and Stu Sutcliffe’s famous purchase of the band’s first bass – John even used a Hofner lapsteel on For You Blue. However, Paul McCartney became synonymous with the brand when he started using the now iconic “Violin Bass” all those years ago, not to forget the multitude of musicians who have played their instruments in the Cavern ever since, probably in the thousands!
Tonight Hofner are back in the best of cellars to celebrate a night of music featuring three of the finest bands around paying tribute to the 60s.
Hofner will be giving away two bass guitars on the night as well as lots of other giveaways!
STRANGERS CLUB
Four local lads from Liverpool with plenty of experience on the scene, Strangers Club make their Cavern debut bringing you all the best of the ’60s, Mersey Beat and R&B. Get your dancing shoes on!

get to the music and the sounds that rocked the universe. The Merseysound is alive and kicking in the finger clicking hands and Chelsea booted feet of Eddie, Martin and Craig. This music is live!! Fasten your seat belts and hold onto your Jelly Babies for the exciting sound of Liverpool BEAT!
Liverpool Beat are no strangers to The Cavern Club, having been gigging in and around Liverpool for many years. Bringing you the best of Mersey Beat with all those fab 60s hits that put Liverpool on the musical map and made The Cavern Club the Most Famous Club in the World!
THE CAVERN CLUB BEATLES
The Cavern Club Beatles are the Cavern’s resident Beatle band. Formed in 2011, they are four lads from Liverpool who replicate perfectly both the look and sound of the fab four.
The band performs at the legendary Cavern Club twice weekly, including their all-era Beatle show every Saturday. Their attention to detail both musically and creatively is second to none. The band was cast after extensive auditions with help from legendary Beatles recording engineer Geoff Emerick.
Between them they have already notched up an impressive biography – touring the world extensively as well shows on London’s West End, Broadway, and played The Royal Albert hall. In February 2014 the band celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles first steps on American soil and their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. Over a two – week period they played throughout New York and Florida in conjunction with The City Of Liverpool, Hard Rock Cafe, British Airways and Visit Britain. In 2015 the band were invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the filming of the Beatles second film, Help!, in Obertauen, Austria. They performed in Obertauen as well as sold out shows in Vienna.
