One of the most daring artists of our time, Meltdown curator Yoko Ono kicks off the festival with a rare performance by Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band. The group are led by Yoko's son, Sean Ono Lennon, who collaborated with her on the 2009 critically-acclaimed record, Between My Head And The Sky.

‘ONE DREAM’ – THE BERYL MARSDEN STORY is a celebration of the life and career of Toxteth born singer Beryl Marsden. One of 10 children, she began singing as a child and at the age of 15, was invited to join local group The Undertakers. Beryl went on to perform regularly at The Cavern alongside many of the well known groups, becoming good friends with The Beatles with whom she toured the UK in 1965. She is considered the best female singer on the Merseybeat scene, and is still very highly regarded as a performer.

Liverpool’s Beatles Story and The Cavern Club find the world’s greatest Beatles tribute acts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of ‘From Me to You’
The very best Beatles tribute acts from across the globe have come together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the Fab Four’s ‘From Me to You’ hit - by contributing their versions for a new music video that showcases the global influence of the band.
2013 sees many 50th anniversaries connecting the Cavern and the Beatles. We'll be celebrating with a programme of events at International Beatleweek 21-27 August plus other events at the Cavern throughout the year.
Cavern City Tours is joining VisitLiverpool at Best of Britain & Ireland 2013 to showcase the Cavern Club and Beatles Magical Mystery Tour to the UK's travel trade.
