Cavern TV will become a regular feature on our website with monthly features consisting of interviews, highlights and forthcoming events.  We start with a look back on 2011 including footage from Adele’s show in January, and later on in the year, a memorable concert by The Wanted.

The start of this year has already seen James embark on a two week tour across the US reaching critical acclaim after stand out performances at Sundance Festival, sold out shows in LA (Viper Room) and New Jersey (Wonder Bar) as well as a highly acclaimed performance on the Late Show with David Letterman where James made his television debut.

It's the end of an era for The Mersey Beatles

For the last ten years or so, Thursday night at the Cavern has meant only one thing – 3 hours of Beatle classics in the company of Liverpool’s very own The Mersey Beatles.  Their final gig as the Cavern's resident Beatle band will take place on 23 February 2012.

Beatles fans from around the world breathed a sigh of relief yesterday as the eagerly awaited 2012 Beatles festival line-up was finally announced. The annual event that takes place in the home city of the Fab Four will be taking place from 22nd to 29th August and will focus on celebrating 50 years of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Headlining the celebrations will be Liverpool phenomenon’s Gerry Marsden and The Searchers and Sweden’s Pepperland.

Good news for staying guests.

A total of 25 hotels across Liverpool City Region have signed up to a new initiative to provide free Wi-Fi access in all guest bedrooms as well as in hotel public areas.  Hotels already signed up to the scheme include the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, the hub of Cavern City Tour's International Beatle Week Festival.
